About the Role

Join the Business Solutions Engineering team as a Bilingual Specialist, Software Engineering. You will be responsible for ERP practices (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations) where the next generation of software applications are being developed to enable CMHC to fulfill its mission. As an ERP developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, customizing and implementing solutions. You will act as a point of contact for all stakeholders including analyzing and responding to the needs of CMHC's internal clients.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with clients to determine their systems needs. Document current and proposed operational processes. Inform clients of proposed solutions and their impacts
  • Design and implement enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions
  • Design and customize extensions (plugins) to add new functionality to the base platform
  • Create or configure forms, entities, fields, workflows and business process flows for the ERP
  • Develop integrations with other CMHC systems, such as the Microsoft D365 CRM system, to ensure data consistency
  • Implement security features to protect data and ensure compliance
  • Write or update technical specification documents for new or existing solutions
  • Participate in ongoing support and maintenance of applications for existing client solutions
  • Create customized reports to help users analyze data and make informed decisions
  • Complete application development projects for implementation of the software development cycle in the production environment

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management or related field. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered
  • At least five (5) years of experience in programming, development and implementation of business applications
  • Expertise in implementing and customizing ERP solutions
  • Expert knowledge of cloud-based systems (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS)
  • Experience at the project level in implementing end-to-end solutions, including planning, estimating and solution architecture
  • Knowledge of information management practices, systems development lifecycle management, information technology services management, agile and Lean methods, infrastructure and operations, and development and operations
  • Excellent interpersonal and business skills, including the ability to work in a team, communicate, present and negotiate in both official languages (French and English)
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities with competing demands

Required Technologies

  • Relevant experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance and Operations)
  • Code development using Visual Studio, .Net Development (C#), JavaScript, SQL
  • Source code management and development and operations processes with Azure DevOps and Git

Preferred Skills

  • Diploma or certificate in higher education in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management or related field
  • Microsoft D365 certifications
  • Experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud platform, Logic Apps, Azure Functions
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse, etc.)
