Senior Microsoft 365 / SharePoint & Power Platform Developer Location: Norfolk, Virginia Work Arrangement: Full-time, on-site Clearance: ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE FROM U.S. OR NATO MEMBER NATION REQUIRED

The Opportunity Ironclad Defense Works is seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 / SharePoint & Power Platform Developer to support NATO Allied Command Transformation in Norfolk, Virginia. This is a hands-on development and administration role focused on digitizing CAPDEV workflows, collaboration, information management, data collection, and recurring business processes across approved NATO Microsoft environments.

The successful candidate will personally configure, develop, test, deploy, troubleshoot, document, administer, and improve solutions using Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Apps, and Power Automate. This position combines SharePoint administration and information architecture with hands-on workflow and application development. It is specifically intended for a technical practitioner rather than someone whose recent experience is primarily governance, architecture, program management, or supervision of development performed by others.

Key Responsibilities Administer, configure, develop, and sustain Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Power Platform solutions supporting CAPDEV organizations. Work directly with process owners, operational users, analysts, managers, and information stakeholders to identify digitization and automation opportunities. Configure and maintain SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, columns, metadata, content types, permissions, navigation, and related information-management capabilities. Design SharePoint information structures that improve discoverability, access control, structured data capture, reuse, and authoritative information management. Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain Power Apps supporting operational business processes. Develop Power Automate workflows supporting approvals, notifications, routing, task coordination, document handling, synchronization, and status management. Develop integrated solutions using SharePoint, Microsoft Lists, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse where available, and other approved Microsoft services. Configure business rules, validation, workflow states, role-based access, forms, views, and other application logic. Integrate Microsoft solutions with enterprise data sources and services using connectors, APIs, gateways, structured exchanges, and other authorized mechanisms. Support Microsoft 365 and SharePoint solutions in secure, classified, restricted, or capability-limited environments. Apply appropriate lifecycle practices, including development/production separation, solution packaging, versioning, configuration control, testing, documentation, and controlled deployment. Diagnose and resolve SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, and related Microsoft 365 technical issues. Conduct user testing and iteratively improve applications and workflows based on operational use and stakeholder feedback. Develop technical, user, administrator, and sustainment documentation. Assess the effectiveness of digitized workflows in reducing manual effort and improving information quality, visibility, traceability, and usability. Support transition of successful locally developed solutions to enterprise development, platform, or scaling organizations when appropriate. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Business Information Technology, Engineering, or a closely related field; or at least five years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of the degree. Experience-in-lieu candidates must demonstrate work in at least two of the following areas: SharePoint administration/development, Power Apps development, Power Automate development, or Microsoft 365 business-process digitization. At least 12 months within the past 24 months during which hands-on Microsoft 365, SharePoint, or Power Platform development/configuration constituted a substantial and recurring part of assigned duties. At least one personally developed Microsoft solution used by an identified user group as part of an active business process within the past 18 months. Recent experience must include personal technical development; experience limited to management, governance, advisory support, coordination, or supervision does not qualify. At least two years within the past five years administering, configuring, developing, or sustaining SharePoint environments, including hands-on experience within the past 24 months. Demonstrated SharePoint experience with permissions/access controls, information architecture or metadata/content-type design, and at least two additional administrative or configuration areas such as lists, libraries, columns, views, navigation, document management, site ownership, or information lifecycle. Recent personal administrative responsibility for an active SharePoint user environment. At least two years of Power Apps development within the past five years, including hands-on development within the past 24 months. At least two personally developed Power Apps applications, including one used operationally by an identified user group within the past 24 months. Demonstrated experience developing applications with meaningful complexity such as multiple screens/forms, conditional or role-based behavior, custom validation/business logic, multiple data sources, variables, collections, or reusable components. At least two years of Power Automate development within the past five years, including hands-on development within the past 24 months. At least two personally developed automated workflows, including one used by an active user group within the past 24 months. Experience developing workflows involving approvals, conditional branching, iterative processing, data synchronization, document handling, or comparable multi-step automation logic. Recent hands-on experience developing at least one operational solution that combined SharePoint, Power Apps, and Power Automate within a single business process. The integrated solution must independently demonstrate meaningful SharePoint information management, Power Apps application complexity, and Power Automate workflow complexity. At least two years of recent business-process analysis and requirements-elicitation experience, including direct engagement with users or process owners. Demonstrated experience analyzing manual, spreadsheet-based, email-driven, document-centric, or otherwise fragmented processes and translating them into digital workflows or applications. Demonstrated experience integrating Microsoft 365 or Power Platform solutions with structured data or enterprise services. Integration experience must span at least two relevant technologies or sources, with at least one beyond SharePoint/Microsoft Lists, such as Dataverse, APIs, Microsoft Graph, SQL, data gateways, premium connectors, or another enterprise application. Hands-on experience with solution lifecycle, configuration management, deployment, or sustainment practices. Practical experience in at least three lifecycle areas such as environment separation, solution packaging, controlled deployment, configuration control, connection/service-account management, monitoring, dependency documentation, or sustainment documentation. Experience adapting Microsoft solutions to real-world technical constraints such as licensing, security restrictions, network limitations, delegated permissions, or connector availability. At least two years of recent hands-on troubleshooting experience involving SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, or related Microsoft 365 solutions. Experience documenting and transferring Microsoft solutions for continued administration, operation, or maintenance by another technical team. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting NATO, DoD, or another defense or multinational organization. Advanced experience with SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Server. Experience with both Canvas and model-driven Power Apps. Experience with Dataverse, Microsoft Graph, SQL, APIs, premium connectors, and data gateways. Familiarity with Power Platform solution packaging, managed solutions, environment strategies, and deployment practices. Experience supporting Microsoft solutions in classified, restricted, or otherwise constrained government environments. Experience with information architecture, metadata, records/information management, and role-based access design. Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, or comparable source/configuration-management practices. Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, or Microsoft 365 certifications. Experience transitioning locally developed Power Platform solutions to enterprise or DevSecOps teams.

Clearance This position requires an active National SECRET (or higher) security clearance from the U.S. or a NATO member nation. Applicants who do not possess the clearance specified above cannot be considered at this time.

Compensation Compensation for this position ranges from $105,000 - $135,000 annually. Final salary will be based on factors such as experience, education, skills, qualifications, location, contract requirements, and overall affordability.
