Senior D365 Field Service Developer & Functional Consultant

About the Role

As our Senior D365 Field Service Developer & Functional Consultant, you'll be at the forefront of our client's field service operations. Your role is pivotal in designing and developing end-to-end Field Service processes, leveraging your deep understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service. This position offers an exciting blend of technical and functional challenges, allowing you to make a significant impact on our projects and clients' success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements discovery workshops, focusing on work orders, incident types, and service tasks.
  • Design and implement comprehensive field service processes, including efficient work order management and scheduling.
  • Configure D365 Field Service components such as Universal Resource Scheduling, Schedule Board, Assets & Locations, and more to meet client needs.
  • Define and manage robust test strategies, author clear user stories, and guide successful UAT and training sessions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop operational dashboards.
  • Extend D365 CE/Field Service capabilities with Plugins, Custom Workflow Activities, and JavaScript/TypeScript for customized solutions.
  • Build Power Automate flows and create Power Apps to enhance customization and user experience.
  • Develop REST-based integrations with ERP and IoT platforms, utilizing Azure services for seamless data exchange.
  • Implement Connected Field Service patterns and design secure models with Azure DevOps for robust field operations.

Qualifications

  • 6–10 years of experience, with a minimum of 4 years in D365 CE/Field Service delivery, is essential.
  • Expertise in Dynamics 365 Field Service, Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Azure services is a must-have.
  • Proficiency in C# (.NET) Plugins, JavaScript/TypeScript, PCF, and Azure API development is required.
  • Knowledge of ALM/DevOps practices, Azure DevOps tools, and solution management is beneficial.
  • Strong consulting skills, including process mapping and effective stakeholder communication, are key.
  • Domain knowledge of field operations, service contracts, and SLAs is a significant advantage.
  • Experience with Connected Field Service, Dynamics 365 Customer Service, and ERP integration is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Field Service Mobile customizations is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Power BI reporting and data migration tools is a plus.
  • Certifications in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service, Power Platform, and Azure are a great asset.
