About EY

As a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction and consulting services, EY hires and develops passionate people to help build a better working world. EY harnesses collective strength to empower you to shape your future with confidence through professional growth, personal fulfillment and an inclusive culture.

About the Role

In this role, you will lead and deliver enterprise SharePoint Server (on-premises) to Microsoft 365 migrations and build modern SharePoint Online intranets. You will shape target information architecture, migration waves, and modernization approaches (including workflow/forms modernization to Power Platform), and you will partner closely with client stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and supportable solutions.

As a senior consultant, you will bring deep experience across SharePoint Server, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft 365 administration (including Entra ID, Teams, and OneDrive). You will lead and participate in full project lifecycles—discovery, assessment, target-state design, build/configuration, testing, migration execution, and deployment—and you will contribute to high-quality client outcomes through solution blueprints, design reviews, and cross-workstream collaboration.

You will design, customize and optimize digital workplace solutions, particularly with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and Power Platform. You will collaborate with various EY groups with digital capabilities to pursue and deliver digital engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess & plan migrations: run discovery/inventory, define migration scope and waves, estimate effort/complexity, and establish cutover and hypercare plans.
  • Design the target intranet: define information architecture, hub/site strategy, navigation, search approach, metadata/content types, and permissions model.
  • Execute migrations: configure and operate Microsoft and third-party migration tooling, manage pilots, remediate issues, and drive successful cutovers.
  • Modernize solutions: map legacy workflows/forms (e.g., SharePoint Designer/InfoPath/Nintex/K2) to Power Automate and Power Apps patterns where appropriate.
  • Enable operations & governance: establish standards, provisioning/lifecycle controls, and operational reporting (including SharePoint Advanced Management where applicable).
  • Lead stakeholders: run workshops, produce client-ready deliverables, and communicate risks, tradeoffs, and decisions clearly to technical and business audiences.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of consulting experience delivering SharePoint solutions and/or migrations using Microsoft technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with SharePoint Server (2013/2016/2019) and SharePoint Online administration and configuration.
  • Proven experience planning and executing SharePoint migrations (assessment, waves, pilots, remediation, cutover, and hypercare).
  • Experience with at least one major migration toolset (e.g., Microsoft Migration Manager, ShareGate, AvePoint, Quest, or similar).
  • Experience implementing modern SharePoint Online intranets (IA, hubs, navigation, search, metadata, and permissions).
  • Working knowledge of the Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate), especially for forms/workflow modernization patterns.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; ability to lead workshops and present recommendations to technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience delivering in regulated or security-conscious environments, incorporating identity, governance, and compliance requirements into designs.
  • Prior enterprise consulting experience (client-facing delivery).

Enterprise Technical Consulting Requirements

At least 2 years of professional enterprise technical consulting experience designing and implementing collaboration offerings leveraging the Microsoft stack including some or all of:

  • Microsoft SharePoint Server, SharePoint Online, SharePoint Hybrid, and SharePoint administration
