What Success Looks Like in This Role

Experience:

• 3-4 years' experience consulting or working in the enterprise customer arena
• 3-4 years' experience designing, developing and supporting business applications on the Microsoft stack, with 3+ years hands-on in Microsoft Power Platform
• 2–3 years' experience with Power BI development and M365 / SharePoint Online administration

Power Platform expertise:

• Extensive experience designing and implementing Power Platform solutions, including:
• Canvas and model-driven Power Apps (responsive design, Power Fx, component libraries, PCF controls)
• Power Automate cloud flows, desktop flows (RPA), approvals, error handling and run monitoring
• Dataverse data modelling, relationships, business rules, security roles, plug-ins and custom APIs
• Standard, premium and custom connectors; integration with SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, SQL Server, Azure (Functions, Logic Apps, Key Vault) and REST APIs
• Copilot Studio agents and AI Builder models embedded in apps and flows
• Environment strategy, DLP policies, managed environments, CoE Starter Kit and tenant governance
• ALM — solution layering, Power Platform Pipelines / Azure DevOps, Power Platform CLI and source control

PowerShell and scripting:

• Extensive experience writing, editing and maintaining PowerShell scripts (including Power Platform admin and Power BI management modules)
• Working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and C# for extensions

Power BI expertise:

• Power Query (M) ingestion and transformation, dataflows, on-premises data gateway
• Star-schema data modelling, DAX measures, calculation groups and performance tuning
• Report and dashboard design — visuals, bookmarks, drill-through, mobile layouts, accessibility
• Row-level security, workspaces, apps, deployment pipelines, scheduled refresh and tenant settings
• Embedding Power BI in Power Apps / Teams with write-back via Power Automate; familiarity with Microsoft Fabric

SharePoint and data:

• Experience designing and implementing SharePoint Online lists and libraries as application data sources and document repositories

Customer and technical skills:

• Extensive experience performing discovery and writing scoping and levels of effort for delivering solutions that meet customer business, functional and technical requirements
• Face-to-face customer engagement skills
• Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
• Ability to explain technical procedures in business terms so that customers understand
• Ability to develop strategic customer relationships, gain trust and respect for the team
• Ability to solve complex technical problems through sound and methodical troubleshooting (flow failures, delegation and app performance, DAX/query performance)

Certifications and migrations:

• Microsoft PL-400 (Power Platform Developer Associate) and/or PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst Associate) certification highly desired
• Hands-on experience migrating legacy automations (Nintex, InfoPath, SharePoint Designer workflows, MS Access) to Power Platform

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree and 3-5 years' relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
