Which certifications are retired, and when?
Microsoft's credential retirement page puts both fundamentals certifications, Dynamics 365 Fundamentals (CRM) and Dynamics 365 Fundamentals (ERP), at December 31, 2025. Four certifications retired on June 30, 2026: Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Expert (exam MB-335), Dynamics 365: Finance and Operations Apps Solution Architect Expert (MB-700), Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-600), and Dynamics 365 Field Service Functional Consultant Associate.
Power Automate RPA Developer Associate is also dated June 30, 2026. Dynamics 365 Customer Experience Analyst Associate is dated July 31, 2026. Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate came last, on August 31, 2026. Each certification's own page now shows a retirement warning. For the three expert certifications and the Power Platform Functional Consultant, the warning says the certification, its exam and its renewal assessments all retired, so nobody can earn or renew them after that date.
What does a holder keep?
Microsoft's rule is simple. If you earned or renewed a certification before it retired, it stays in the Active Certifications section of your transcript until it expires. When it expires, it moves to the Historical Certifications section. Nothing is stripped away on retirement day.
Because the renewal assessments are retired too, you cannot extend an active certificate. Its last expiry date is final. Treat that date as your deadline for earning something current. Your badge and transcript still show you passed, and that remains true after the certification goes historical. Microsoft also drops a certification from the retirement page once it has been retired for more than a year, so save the date now if you need it for a CV.
What replaces each one?
Microsoft names one direct replacement. Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate (PL-200) was replaced by Intelligent Applications Builder Associate (exam AB-410), available from July 30, 2026. For the other retired certifications covered here, Microsoft names no one-for-one successor. The notices on the expert certifications and the Customer Experience Analyst link to a Microsoft post about its newer AI-focused business credentials. The fundamentals pages link to a post about a certification refresh. The Supply Chain Management expert page still recommends MB-330 as the core supply chain exam to take before MB-335.
In practice, if you were working toward a retired expert certification, go back to the live associate exam for your product and build from there. Our guides on choosing a first certification and on Power Platform certifications cover the exams you can still sit.
How should recruiters read a retired credential?
Use common sense. A retired certification shows the person studied the product and passed a proctored Microsoft exam at that time. That knowledge does not disappear because Microsoft redesigned its catalog. An MB-700 holder who architected Finance and Operations projects is still an experienced architect.
What a retired credential cannot show is recent study. Ask what the person has delivered since they passed, and which release waves they have worked through. Don't screen someone out for listing a certification Microsoft retired, and don't insist on a current version of a certification that no longer exists. Candidates should list the certification with the year they earned it.

Can I still renew MB-335, MB-700 or PL-600?
No. Their pages say the certification, the exam and the renewal assessments all retired on June 30, 2026. Your certificate stays active only until its current expiry date.
When did the Dynamics 365 Fundamentals certifications retire?
Microsoft's retirement page dates both Dynamics 365 Fundamentals (CRM) and Dynamics 365 Fundamentals (ERP) to December 31, 2025. Neither certification was ever a prerequisite for other certifications.
Is the Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate retired?
Yes. Its page says the certification, its exam and its renewal assessments retired on August 31, 2026. Microsoft replaced it with Intelligent Applications Builder Associate (AB-410), available from July 30, 2026, and holders keep the old certification on their transcript until it expires.
