Choose learning for the job you want and check exam status before booking.

Choose the skill first

Start with the role, product, and task you want to learn. Use a current job description and a role guide to choose a focused topic.

An exam can provide a study structure. It does not by itself show that you can deliver a project or lead a team.

Build a practice example alongside study. Keep course work separate from professional delivery experience in your CV.

Current learning routes to check

Microsoft publishes role-based learning for Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Central, Finance and Operations development, and Power Platform development.

The official pages linked below describe the relevant skills and current exam details. Check them again before paying or setting an exam date.

Examples checked for this release include MB-310, MB-330, MB-800, MB-820, MB-500, and PL-400. Status can change after this page's review date.

Retired exams in older advice

Older pages and job adverts can mention exams that are no longer available. A retired exam should not appear as a current route to book.

Examples include PL-100, MB-210, MB-910, MB-920, MB-240, MB-335, MB-700, PL-500, PL-600, AZ-204, MB-280, and PL-200.

Check Microsoft's retirement register for dates and any replacement guidance. A course using an old code may still teach useful skills, but ask what it covers now.

Choose a course carefully

Ask for a direct course page, current syllabus, practical lab details, tutor support, dates, and full cost. Check whether an exam voucher is included.

Confirm that the training matches your starting knowledge. A short advanced course may assume experience you have not yet gained.

Use provider claims as information to check. This site does not rank course quality or guarantee exam passes or job offers.

Use certifications in applications

List the credential name, date, and current status accurately. Follow Microsoft's guidance for sharing your credential record.

Alongside it, describe a relevant task you can perform and the evidence you have. Explain where you still need supervision.
