About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Data Modelling / Dataverse Specialist with solid experience in data modelling and designing solutions based on Microsoft Dataverse.
This person will have a strategic role in defining corporate data models, ensuring that structures are scalable, consistent, and aligned with business processes. They will also partner with architects, developers, analysts, and stakeholders to establish standards for data governance, quality, and evolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and evolve conceptual, logical, and physical data models
- Define tables, attributes, keys, relationships, and integrity rules in Microsoft Dataverse
- Translate business processes and requirements into clear, reusable, and scalable data models
- Evaluate data modelling decisions considering performance, security, extensibility, and maintenance
- Develop relationship models for complex scenarios and integrations between different domains
- Support initiatives related to Knowledge Graphs, ontologies, taxonomies, and semantic data
- Contribute to data platform architecture and integration between Dataverse, corporate systems, and other data sources
- Define standards, conventions, and best practices for data modelling and management
- Establish controls and metrics for data governance, quality, consistency, and traceability
- Identify redundancies, inconsistencies, and gaps in existing models, proposing improvements
- Create and maintain technical documentation, glossaries, data dictionaries, and relationship diagrams
- Facilitate technical discussions and support architecture decisions with multidisciplinary teams
- Guide less experienced professionals and act as a technical reference in data modelling and Dataverse
Requirements
- Senior-level experience in conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Dataverse, including tables, columns, keys, relationships, choices, and business rules
- Mastery of relational modelling, normalization, denormalization, and referential integrity
- Experience designing data models for business processes and domains
- Knowledge of data platform architecture and integration patterns
- Experience with governance practices, quality, lineage, cataloguing, and metadata management
- Knowledge of security and data access control in Dataverse
- Ability to analyze complex requirements and transform them into consistent and sustainable models
- Skill in communicating technical decisions to technical and business audiences
- Technical English for reading, documentation, and participation in discussions
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with Knowledge Graphs, ontologies, taxonomies, or semantic data technologies
- Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, or other modern data platforms
- Experience with Microsoft Purview or data cataloguing and governance tools
- Knowledge of Power Apps, Power Automate, and other Microsoft Power Platform components
- Experience with Dynamics 365 and its commercial data models
- Knowledge of Microsoft Common Data Model (CDM)
- Familiarity with APIs, event-driven integrations, and distributed architectures
- Experience with data modelling and documentation tools
- Microsoft certifications related to Power Platform, Azure Data, or Dynamics 365
